I. Lead-in
Get a general idea of supporting sentences through discussion
II. Get familiar with three types of supporting sentences
1. Analyze paragraph A, B and C respectively and identify three types of supporting sentences
2. Read a paragraph in random order and rearrange the sentences
3. Summarize what has been learned
III. Practise writing a short paragraph
1. Discuss what kind of teacher is considered to be a good teacher
2. List information needed in the paragraph
3. Write two or three general supporting points and one or two specific details
IV. Assignment
Finish writing the above paragraph in 60 ~ 80 words by using the suitable brigde words listed below (with topic sentence given)
