Step 1. Organization
Step 2. Leading in
First,teacher talk about friends herself.Then,ask a student “Do you have a good friend?”(The student can answer this question)Next,ask “Why?”or “What do you like about your good friend?”(If the Ss don’t know its meaning,explain in Chinese) Ask the same questions to other Ss,the Ss’ answers may be different.
Step 3. Presentation
Show a small blackboard,let the Ss to read the phrases on it.Then say “If you make a friend,which one is the most important for you?And the less important?Rank the phrases from1-6”. Call some Ss to number on the board,also the teacher can number them.Next,let the Ss talk their views about friends with the teacher.(The teacher must guide them to use “I think…” “For me…” and so on.)
Other Ss look and listen carefully.
Step 3. Groupwork
Have the Ss to talk about what they think a good friend should be like.Four Ss a group.Call out some groups to express their views. Of course,the views can be different from the book.
Step 4. Listening
This part has been simplied.
