　　1）hold on表示“别挂，等一等”，是电话用语，等于hold the line，常用祈使句表示。如：

　　—Can I speak to Mr. Smith?

　　—Hold on , please. I’ll go and see if he is in.

　　—我想跟史密斯讲话，好吗？

　　—请稍等，我去看他在不在。

　　2）电话中“请等一下”还有。
